The Perfect Shirt: Equipment

The Equipment signature silk shirt has been a wardrobe staple since the 90s, and with its reincarnation in recent years, women have been lining up in droves to get their hands on one. I am lusting after a khaki coloured one, available via net-a-porter here, I fear this love affair will be short lived though. With my petite size six frame (US size 2), over sized shirts can swim on me in a completely unflattering way. The sizing reviews I've read are a little mixed, but the majority opinion is that the sizes are very large, even for an oversized style. I'll have to try one on and see for myself. Fingers crossed.

Look at this captivating rainbow of silk deliciousness at the Equipment Melrose store. I almost want to eat them.

Saturday Shopping

I spent Saturday wandering around the city endeavouring to stock up on a few essentials. I'm in need of winter clothes at the moment, as Melbourne is currently drab and bleak, however my impending European holiday also calls for some summer attire, so I headed to Melbourne Central to stock up on tee shirts at Dotti's $10 sale. They're made quite well and last for years. They're such a bargain!

Dotti cotton t-shirts and long sleeve tops. Available here.

I also found my perfect transeasonal hat at Kookai. Over the years I've looked for hats and have never found any that tick all the boxes; my tiny head doesn't help the situation, but I'm also very picky when it comes to these things. The brims have always been too tough or too floppy. This Kookai hat has proven to be this Goldilocks' favourite - it is just right.

Kookai felt hat $50 seen left in the Kookai winter campaign, and right on the beautiful Pia Miller.

At Myer, I came across this jumper at Cue which I am practically living in now. I wore it Saturday night after purchasing it, and then again on Sunday and to work today. It's so comfortable and is a well priced option for me, as all the other jumpers I've liked so far have been around the $300 mark.

Cue contrast knit sweater $115 available here.

Four tops, 1 jumper and a hat for only $205. I'm quite pleased with myself. Cheers to shopping on a budget!

Viktoria + Woods: Military

Bosco Jacket by Viktoria + Woods available for pre order here

Calypso Coat by Viktoria + Woods available here

Rockafella Jacket by Viktoria + Woods available here

I'm besotted by all the Viktoria + Woods coats and jackets this season. Really into the Military colour.
I must add some to my very black and grey collection of outwear.

Boys of Summer

I'm such a sucker for this combo. I love the look on the left with the pushed up shirt sleeves and undone top button. Uber cool relaxed summer look. Shamefully, I never do see men dressing this way in Melbourne.
